Maryland State Archives Family History Festival

Event Description:
October is American Archives Month, and the Maryland State Archives will be celebrating by hosting a free Family History Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in Annapolis. This open house-style event will feature:

Expert lectures on genealogy, history, and archival research:
Demonstrations on caring for your own family papers and photos;
“Break through your brick wall” sessions for family genealogists;
Seminars on imaging techniques;
Behind the scenes tours;
Children’s activities highlighting family history.

We invite you to come and meet our staff and see how important our collections are to both family and community history!
