The Maryland State Archives is hosting a series of public programming called Brown Bag Lunch and Learn. Once a month, the Archives will hold an informal, free talk in their conference room open to the general public where Archives' staff members will share different aspects of their jobs and ongoing projects. 

Our November talk will be given by Maria Day, Director of Special Collections, and is titled Maps and Other Hidden Special Collections.  This talk will be an overview of the map collections at the Maryland State Archives, including a discussion of how to find them using our online collection catalog. In addition, Ms. Day will highlight some other of the hidden treasures in the Archives' stacks that are not part of our government records collections.  The talk will be held on Wednesday, November 4 at noon.
