Event Description:
BB&T, Operation Win In Life CDC and Meridian Management Group, Inc. (“MMG”) are conducting a 5 hour workshop on the subject of “Dollars & Sense” – Financing to Maximize Business Profits & Personal Wealth. This workshop will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 14, 2017 at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum located at 803 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore Maryland.
There will be two 2 hour sessions, one focusing on The Cost of Alternative Lenders to the Small Business Community and the other focusing on BB&T’s Where Personal Finances Meet Business Finances curriculum. Both sessions will be designed to increase small and minority entrepreneurs’ knowledge of existing financial planning and financing resources available through BB&T and MMG to enhance their capacity to grow their businesses.
The session on Cost of Alternative Lenders will be designed and conducted by MMG and The Hutt Company. Both of these minority-owned firms have decades of experience in providing financial and management assistance to underserved businesses in Baltimore and the State of Maryland. The topics to be discussed include:
- Obtaining affordable financing;
- Exploring financing options for your business; and
- Structuring financing to maximize profits for your business.
The session on Where Personal Finances Meet Business Finances will be conducted by Robin Haynes, Financial Wellbeing Coach with Operation Hope. It will focus on:
1. Efficient and effective management of money;
2. Credit score analysis;
3. Loan Types;
4. Profit margins;
5. Reviewing financial statements. |
