Event Description: HUBZone is a United States Small Business Administration (SBA) program for small companies that operate and employ people in Historically Underutilized Business Zones(HUBZones.
In today’s economy, many businesses are struggling to remain open and survive through these challenging times. For those businesses located in low income and under developed residential and business communities, the economic downturn can be more acutely felt. To offset this issue the SBA created a set-aside contracting program that includes 10% price evaluation preferences, which encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones called "HUBZones".
