12:00 AM Startup Grind: Michael McDevitt
We're thrilled to be hosting Michael McDevitt, Founder and CEO of Terra's Kitchen, his third Maryland based venture.  Terra’s Kitchen is a highly successful startup that provides the quickest, easiest, healthiest fresh food in the marketplace and delivers nationwide.

Michael is going to walk us through his entrepreneurship journey from a financial analyst at the Blackstone Group to CEO of NYSE traded, Owings Mills based Medifast, Inc., to co-founder and CEO of Tandem Legal Group and Tandem Advisory Group,, and now founding Terra's Kitchen, Our chat will explore his successes, failures, and lessons learned of which there are many and Michael has a way of sharing that is riveting.

Michael states "I started my career in private equity because I wanted to learn how businesses “worked”. I then moved onto the world of running a consumer goods business, because I wanted to learn how to apply that knowledge to the “real world.” I started a legal and consulting firm because I wanted to help others experience growth, while I learned how to operate a services business. I started Terra’s Kitchen because I wanted to grow a business that would allow me to recreate the family dinner experiences I had as a kid with my own family." He goes on to say "The meal kit market is growing quickly, as entrepreneurs see business opportunity in families' busy schedules and desire for healthy, home-cooked meals, and I want to be part of this opportunity."

We'll be raffling a selection of Terra's custom made, home delivered gourmet meals to lucky attendees.
