Event Description:
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) has scheduled cleaning and painting on the MD 370 (Unionville Road) Bridge over Miles River in Talbot County. Cleaning and painting of the drawbridge will begin on or about July 11, 2015 and should be completed on or before July 31, 2015. The paint system being used should ensure that the drawbridge will not need to be repainted for 20 years.
Because the bridge must remain in an open position for proper cleaning and painting, all vehicular traffic will be detoured along US 50 in Easton. The detour is expected to add approximately 28 minutes/15 miles (maximum) to affected trips. During the scheduled work, the bridge will be closed to all traffic, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
The Informational Meeting will acquaint the public with the project, and SHA representatives will be available to answer project-related questions. You may arrive at any time during meeting hours and walk through the display area at your own pace. There will be no formal presentation. |
