Event Description:
Renewal of Hazardous Waste Permit for BGE PCB Storage Facility, Baltimore County
Topic: Tentative determination to renew Controlled Hazardous Substance (CHS) facility permit held by Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. for storage of hazardous waste at BGE's Rutherford Business Center, 7210 Windsor Mill Road, Baltimore, MD 21226.  The waste managed at the facility is waste that contains polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) that BGE generates in connection with the operation of its electrical transmission and distribution system.  Such wastes are consolidated and temporarily stored at the facility.  The wastes are eventually shipped from the facility for final disposition at appropriate facilities off site.
