All Day Eid-al-Fitr (Islam; Through 6/28)
Eid-al-Fitr (Islam; Through 6/28)
11:00 AM - 6:00 PM OPEN-Public Event: Frederick Pride
For more information, please visit: http://www.thefrederickcenter.org/frederick-pride

Frederick Pride is celebrating its 6th year in 2017! This year’s festival takes place Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Carroll Creek Linear Park in beautiful, historic downtown Frederick. This year we are anticipating up to 10,000 attendees and 100 participating organizations!

Be part of the action, booths space for for-profit organizations and table space for non-profits. The main stage will be at the amphitheater, near the Carroll Street entrance. A second entertainment area will be at the opposite end of the park near Market Street. Attendee admittance is free. Families and allies welcome, this is a community event!

The crowd loves downtown, with many newcomers making their first visit to Frederick specifically because of this event. All attendees receive a Frederick Pride rainbow bracelet from welcome stations at each major entry to the park. Businesses can sign up to offer discounts/specials to anyone wearing one of these bracelets, this is our "Buy Pride" program and is free to any area business. Be known as an ally. Sponsors are also sought to name various parts of the festival with your company banner.

There will be bands, drag, DJ, dancing, and more live acts at the amphitheater. At the Market Street venue there will be smaller acts, drag, DJ dancing, and more. There will be organized group youth activities. For the younger kids there will be face painting and other activities. The program will be full, there is no way to see it all. The food court will be located above the amphitheater, the beer and wine area next to them. Be sure to visit the official TFC Pride booth at the top of the amphitheater for all your Pride paraphernalia, proceeds support all the programs of our local LGBTQ community center. LOCATION: Downtown Frederick MD (between Market & Carroll Streets)
