Event Description:
Public hearing regarding the approval of State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision #17-02 certifying that the regulation .05-1 “Emission Statements” under COMAR 26.11.01 General Administrative Provisions satisfies the Clean Air Act (CAA) section 182(a)(3)(B) requirements for the 2008 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for Ozone. The requirements of the CAA have been met through the normal public hearing process established by the State of Maryland with proper notification (30 days) prior to the convening of the public hearing. Enclosed are copies of affidavits as proof of proper notification. It is the position of the State of Maryland that all minimum requirements set forth in the 1990 CAA have been met.
