The presentation will open by discussing “what is cloud computing” and the variety of definitions associated with cloud computing.  The history of the cloud and its evolution will be addressed.  We will review how the modern computing environment got to the cloud and address the pros & cons for migrating to the cloud. 

A number of technologies and current solutions will be addressed as well as certain mandates that govern specific types organizations and their cloud environments (i.e. federal initiates, healthcare industry, education institutions).

The Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to share our new MD Tech Venture Accelerator program. Each classroom session is highly interactive - a combination of instruction, hands-on active learning and guided coaching specific to your firm. Participants are expected to complete assignments between class sessions and come prepared to engage. The program will help entrepreneurs realize a money-making model behind the technology.
