Like Maryland, Kanagawa is located near their nation’s capital and has an exceptionally strong ecosystem for the life sciences industries. Governor Kuroiwa has launched a policy package called the “Healthcare New Frontier” to combine the most advanced medical treatments and technologies with healthy lifestyles to deal with the challenges facing a rapidly aging population. This could be a great opportunity for Maryland businesses to enter or expand in the Japanese market.
