Event Description: The Department will hold a public informational meeting to discuss the modification application for AquaCon Maryland, LLC/State Discharge Permit 24DP3895A, NPDES Permit MD0068209.
AquaCon Maryland, LLC, c/o MDSW, 100 N. West Street, Easton, Maryland 21601, has submitted a request to modify their permit to discharge Atlantic Salmon purge water from a land-based salmon rearing facility located at Commodore Blvd., Port Deposit, Maryland 21904 to the Susquehanna River, a Use II-P waters. The request includes changes to limitations including a net zero Total Suspended Solids limit, a change to the pH and dissolved oxygen limits, and the addition of a temperature limit. It also includes the request to revise special conditions. Per MD Environmental Article § 1–602(a)(2), an EJ score was calculated for this facility. The EJ Score is 60.50. This score has been calculated considering a combination of the following factors: Pollution Burden Exposure Percentile, Pollution Burden Environmental Effects Percentile, and Sensitive Population Percentile.
