Event Description:
Every day, people are working to make our city better. Baltimore GameChangers’ mission is to shine a light on the people and organizations that are creating positive change in Baltimore. In doing so, we intend to change the perception of Baltimore and inspire others to act in ways that benefit our community.
In celebration of the recently published Baltimore GameChangers’ publication, we’ll gather to hear from some of the people who devote their energy, time, and talent to making Baltimore thrive. Join us for an evening in honor of their courageous work including TED-style talks, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, live music and networking.
Don't miss the chance to hear the inspiring stories from speakers: Calvin Butler, April Jones, and Donté L. Hickman, Sr.. From internships at BGE's development program to donations and service hours provided by his company and its employees, learn how Calvin Butler is using his power to ignite change in the community. April Jones will share her personal story and how the Girls' Empowerment Mission (GEM) changed her trajectory for the better. Listen in as Donté L. Hickman, Sr. discusses "hope in the hood" and restoring peoples' faith by rebuilding distressed communities. |
