The symposium will examine multiple perspectives on the future of the Clean Water Act in Maryland.
Maryland Secretary of the Environment Serena McIlwain will deliver our keynote. The secretary will be followed by two panels:
First, esteemed environmental law attorneys from Maryland and surrounding states will discuss the evolution and adaptation of Clean Water Act implementation, improvements to implementation, and how Maryland can expand the work of the Clean Water Act.
Second, waterkeepers and clean water advocates will discuss the health of our waterways and their experience with Clean Water Act litigation.
Several organizations will be represented at the event so attendees can learn more about clean water initiatives in Maryland. The symposium will conclude with a networking reception. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, a hot chocolate bar, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided
