Climate Action Workshop - Frederick County
Start Date: 3/29/2025Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 3/29/2025End Time: 2:30 PM
Event Description:
Join us in the development of a Community-Wide Climate and Energy Action Plan to help shape a sustainable future! This is your chance to get directly involved in creating a climate action plan that truly reflects our community’s needs and aspirations.
At this event, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Learn what research and data show are the impacts of a changing climate right here in Frederick County.
- Take an interactive survey: share your thoughts and help shape the future of environmental action in our area.
- Provide feedback using a flood mapping tool: Identify areas in your neighborhood that are prone to flooding, ensuring we better understand local challenges and needs.
- Tell us what gets in the way of sustainability, from lack of information to a need for support or incentives. We want to know how to help our community "go green!"
This is your chance to connect with County and/or City staff, ask questions, and contribute valuable input that will help guide how our community rises to the challenges of a changing climate.
The event will also bring together some of our local partner organizations, offering not just info on climate action, but also direct access to helpful programs and services, such as information on energy assistance, housing rehabilitation programs, and more!
Don't miss out on being part of something big - your participation will help shape the future of Frederick County!
