NeighborSpace is excited to join the Turner Station Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26.
Activities begin at 8:00 AM with breakfast and a community prayer at Turner Station Park (23 Rayme Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222).
A garden work day at Chestnut Park will follow from 8:30 to 11:00 AM, with lunch served back at Turner Station Park afterward.
Chestnut Park is located on Dundalk Avenue between Main Street and Sollers Point Road. | |
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM | Earth Day Kayak Cleanup at North East River Volunteers will be using kayaks to clean out the area of marsh across from North East Community Park again before it starts growing too thick.
We will be meeting at the pavilion on the way to the kayak launch by the playground to sign in and hand out supplies, such as gloves, bags and pickers; as well as snacks and water, though we do encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle. We will launch in groups starting at 9am.
The address provided is to the Upper Bay Museum at the park. Look for our table near the beginning of the park to sign in, get supplies and assign areas. | |

Historic Annapolis and American Battlefield Trust invite you to participate in the 29th annual Park Day! Each year, thousands of volunteers come together at historic sites and battlefields across the nation to help keep our nation’s heritage not only preserved, but pristine.
In Annapolis, Historic Annapolis welcomes volunteers to assist us with outdoor clean-up activities to help us prepare for our annual Paca Garden Plant Sale! Help us remove weeds and invasive English ivy, join us in our spring leaf clean up, and get our site ready to welcome visitors at our Plant Sale.
Please dress for the weather and outdoor activities. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves, shears, and water bottle. | |

Help us plant trees for cleaner air and water in Baltimore County!
Do you like being outside in nature and getting your hands in some soil? Join us and make a difference for future generations by planting trees!
More than 40,000 trees have been planted throughout the Gunpowder Watershed by enthusiastic volunteers over the past 36 years, and we need YOUR help to plant even more!
A maximum of 40 people, including GVC staff and volunteer leaders, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 8 – 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per four children in attendance. | |

Started by DC native Howard Gasaway of Seafarers Yacht Club in 1985, the annual Anacostia River Earth Day Cleanup is AWS's largest annual volunteer event and one of the largest single-day volunteer events in the DMV. This year, thousands of volunteers from around the watershed picked up trash, served our community, and enjoyed the Anacostia River.
