Maryland Climate Partners is hosting the Maryland Agencies Climate Progress Spring Forum at MDE's Montgomery Park in Baltimore with a hybrid option available. This free, public event will bring together climate advocates and state agency leaders for a focused, issue-centered dialogue on what it will take to move Maryland's climate commitments forward in 2026.
The forum follows our Climate Progress Winter Webinar, where agency leaders from MDE, MEA, DHCD, and MDOT shared updates on their climate implementation plans. April's forum is designed to go deeper, moving from progress reports to practical dialogue on implementation challenges, accountability, and collaboration.
The day will feature three moderated panels organized around Maryland Climate Partners' 2026 policy priorities:
- Climate Finance & Funding Implementation – How is the state deploying and protecting dedicated climate funds? This panel will dig into the tools Maryland has on the table and the pressures they face.
- Equity & Community Investment – Maryland has made meaningful commitments to center environmental justice in agency decision-making. This panel will examine what implementation looks like in practice.
- Buildings & Electrification – From state-owned buildings to residential programs, this panel will explore efforts to reduce emissions and energy costs through building efficiency and electrification.
The forum will close with a structured, facilitated discussion where participants will work together to identify urgent implementation gaps and potential solutions — generating concrete, actionable outcomes for the coalition and its partners.
