Somnath Sengupta, former researcher at the Army Research Lab (ARL) and co-founder of Paratek Microwave which was acquired by Blackberry will talk about the enabling IP Paratek licensed from ARL.
Barry Datlof is the Medical Technology Transfer Officer for the US Army Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC). Barry will share information about one of the many cutting-edge patents MRDC has available for license.
Matt Jones with the Technology Transfer Office of
CCDC Chemical Biological Center will join us to share information on one of CBC's many technologies available for license.
Mike Steele is the stereotypical garage entrepreneur who, by day, is a Test and Evaluation Manager for ManTech International Corporation. Mike will tell us about his journey which began with identifying a problem which led to patenting, marketing, and selling on a global scale. Mike is also one of the Co-Organizers of the Inventor’s Network of the Capital Area (INCA) MeetUp.
Gary Evans is the CEO of Axcel Innovation and, with the MD Department of Commerce, innovator behind the Maryland Defense Technology Commercialization Center (DefTech). Gary will talk about the why’s and how’s of the program and how it helps Maryland businesses grow. |
