How Are Museums Advancing Climate Communication? Virtual
Start Date: 5/11/2026Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 5/11/2026End Time: 1:00 PM
Event Description:
With nearly 850 million visits annually in the United States, museums are increasingly emerging not only as places of learning, but also as living laboratories for climate communication research. With their strong local presence and diverse audiences, museums are uniquely positioned to experiment with new ways to inspire people to take action. This webinar will explore how museums are developing innovative audience engagement strategies, the resources and partnerships to support this research, and how these insights can be used by other institutions. Join Dr. Rose Hendricks, Seeding Action Executive Director at the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) who will moderate the session with Lynne Zummo, Associate Professor at the University of Utah and Nathan Lachenmyer, Partner at Sitara Systems.
