Event Description:
Summer School participants will be encouraged to physically explore downtown Frederick, a Maryland Main Street community, as part of the day’s learning experiences. To achieve this goal, the structured educational sessions will move between the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center (40 South Carroll) and the National Museum of Civil War Medicine (48 East Patrick). In addition, Preservation Maryland is working with the Downtown Frederick Partnership to develop weekend stay packages which will encourage participants to end their work-week early by spending the night in Frederick on Thursday, July 21st and extend their stay for a long weekend of shopping and exploring Frederick. Discount hotel stays and restaurant coupons will be included in the registration materials. |
