The property located at 10500 Wills Mountain Rd in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland has been accepted into Maryland’s Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP). A proposed response action plan (RAP) has been submitted to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) for approval. Site investigations have determined that soil at discreet locations have been impacted by TPH-DRO, PCB, and mercury at concentrations requiring remediation. The proposed remedial technology includes the excavation and offsite disposal of contaminated soil. This RAP is based upon future use of the property for unrestricted High Frequency Recreational (Tier 4B) purposes. | |
