Event Description: On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00 am, join the St. Mary’s River Watershed Association and Friends of St. Clements Bay at Abell’s Wharf to plant a million baby oysters in the Breton Bay Oyster Sanctuary. Volunteers will help load and transport baby oysters by boat to their new home at the Lover’s Point restoration site. Make an impact, help an oyster reef, and have fun on the water! |

Other Details: Volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes and a life jacket. We will have gloves and extra life jackets, but bring your own if you can. If you want to go the extra mile, meet us at St. Mary’s College of Maryland at 8:00 AM to load the bags onto trailers. Otherwise, meet us at Abell's Wharf at 10:00 AM. RSVP today! It’s important to RSVP (https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSflq2A6uAw7Eg.../viewform) so we can reach out in case its too windy or stormy to go out on the water. The rain date will be the following day, Sunday, September 13th at 10am. |
