Governor's Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture

Event Description:

The Commission works to promote the economic profitability of agriculture in the State by ensuring that all appropriate State agencies work in a cooperative, coordinated manner with local government and industry groups in planning, implementing, overseeing and evaluating intergovernmental initiatives related to agricultural affairs of the State.  This meeting agenda includes: 

Update and Presentation on  Maryland's Pollinator Protection Plan
Update and Presentation on  The Future of Sustainable Farming and Forestry in Maryland 
Discussion on Fire Marshall enforcement on Farmer's Markets and Agritourism Operations
Discussion on Placement of Large Solar Operations on Agriculture Land
Revisit and propose updates to GICA's Toolkit
