Maryland Clean Boater Pledge
To take the Pledge:
Fill out the basic information
Read the Pledge (below) and visit our
clean boating page
Click ‘Submit’ at the end to show your commitment to adopt as many of these practices as you possibly can.
While supplies last, each person who submits a Clean Boater Pledge will receive a ‘thank you gift.’ Sending the gift is the only purpose for which your address is collected and it will not be shared with anyone outside of DNR.
The Pledge:
As a Maryland Clean Boater, I pledge to do my part to keep Maryland’s waterways free of harmful chemicals, excess nutrients, and debris.
I will identify opportunities and implement practices to prevent pollution associated with my boating activities such as: fueling, cleaning and washing, sewage handling, and maintenance.
I will encourage other boaters to sign the Pledge and learn about clean boating.
