Writers LIVE: Mark Segal, And Then I Danced: Traveling the Road to LGBT Equality
Start Date: 11/16/2015Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Date: 11/16/2015End Time: 8:00 PM
Event Description:
Mark Segal was just eighteen when, in June 1969, the Stonewall Riots erupted in New York. Determined not to stand idly by, Segal was one of the leaders who helped form the Gay Liberation Front. Within a year, he had founded Gay Youth, the nation's first organization to deal with the issues faced by LGBT youth.

Segal has been a force to be reckoned with in the fight for gay rights, and his memoir, And Then I Danced, chronicles his involvement in the struggle and what he sees for its future.
