Please join the Maryland Coastal Bays Program and guest speaker Jennifer Dindinger with UMD Sea Grant Extension, for the presentation “Rain Gardens: Getting Down to Business” . This event is the part two in the spring Talk and Walk series- an installment of the MCBP Explore the Estuary program. It will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Berlin Library meeting room on the second floor. *There will be a short walk around downtown Berlin following the presentation to explore local examples.

Do I need a rain garden? Are rain gardens just big wet spots in my yard? Maybe, and no! Come hear a talk with Jennifer Dindinger, Watershed Restoration Specialist with UMD Extension, and learn about the ins and outs of rain garden siting, installation, and maintenance. The program includes a local walk to see examples of rain gardens around town.

You may register for the program even if you are not able to attend the local walk following the presentation.

Once you are registered, an email will be sent to you the week of the event detailing the presentation and recommended items to wear for the walk.
