Crime Victims Fund 5K & 10K
Start Date: 4/2/2016Start Time: 8:00 AM
End Date: 4/2/2016End Time: 12:00 PM
Event Description:
The family of NeShante and Chloe Davis, the mother and child gunned down in early February, is asking the community to come out to run or walk in their memory at the National Harbor on Saturday, April 2, 2016. If you haven’t registered, it’s not too late. The link is provided below. We now have a group rate for 5 or more.
The run/ walk is the sole provider of funding for the Crime Victim’s fund which provides emergency funding for victims of crime who have no other means to pay for the cost of victimization such as crime scene cleanup, damaged car locks, window door replacement, assistance with insurance deductibles, domestic violence victim relocation assistance, and more.
The fund also assists with counseling for surviving family members of homicide victims, and elder abuse victims. The fund is managed by the Maryland Crime Victim Resource Center here in Prince George’s County.
• Walk starts at 8:00 am
• Run starts at 9:00am
