Residents, volunteer groups, and community associations are encouraged to register now to be part of the city-wide effort to beautify neighborhoods. The event will run on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant trees in the northwest Baltimore community of Howard Park. Novice volunteers and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce our waste.

Brentwood Tree Committee tree planting and Native Plant Network native plant swap. Meet at the gazebo in Bartlett Park (4300 39th Place). This is the 10th annual Arbor Day and 10th year being a Tree City USA. Join us for a native plant swap and tree planting with Mayor Rocio Treminio-Lopez. Please wash your plant roots before swapping. No need to bring plants - come learn and pick up free plants. Park games, family-friendly!

Help remove litter from Hamilton Run starting at The Greens Golf Course in Hagerstown and working our way downstream as far as we can go.
Saturday 4/27 (Rain date is 4/28) Meet at the The Greens Golf Course Parking Lot at 10 am. (2 S Cleveland Ave, Hagerstown)
Trash bags, safety vests, and gloves will be provided.
Please bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes that can get muddy. Boots or waders are recommended if you are willing to get into the stream to remove trash.
Prefer to float? Creek Cleanup Project is hosting a Trash Paddle on the Antietam Creek starting at Kiwanis Park on same day at 9 am. Their event is a paddling cleanup. There will be some boats there to borrow, or you may BYOBoat. It is recommended to wear waders or wetsuit due to cold water. As part of Spring Cleanup Week, Keep Somerset Beautiful and the Somerset County Health Department are sponsoring litter and cigarette butt cleanups at Raccoon Point in Westover and at the Terrapin Run hike and bike trail along Rt. 413 starting at Marion Station. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please wear appropriate shoes, long pants and long sleeves.

Welcome to Liberty Village! We believe it takes a village to raise our children. On April 27th, we’re having a youth basketball showcase at 11am followed by a grand Spring Clean Up starting at 2pm. Liberty Village is attached to Garrison Elementary School located at 3901 Maine Avenue, Gwynn Oak, Maryland 21207.
Come help our young athletes, students, seniors and young adult residents plant flowers, paint, and pick up litter in care of Central Forest Park. | |
