The Lead Poisoning Prevention Commission (LPPC) was created by statute in 1994 (Chapter 114, Acts of 1994). The Commission studies and collects information on the effectiveness of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and current risk reduction treatments in reducing exposure to lead as well as risk ​and liability issues including availability of insurance.​ (Environment Article, Secs. 6-801, 6-848).

Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant trees in the northwest Baltimore community of Howard Park. Novice volunteers and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce our waste.

Locations are approximate, exact details will be emailed to participants before the event.

The ROE program is also building the Agency’s capacity to respond to the growing need for more in-depth analyses and investigations of site-specific, regional, and national-scale conditions through the interpretation of indicator trends. This webinar will highlight the ROE program history, future vision and the interactive ROE website, home to the 80+ ROE scientific indicators.
