Event Description: The property located at 1303 West Hamburg Street in Baltimore, Maryland has been accepted into Maryland's Voluntary Cleanup Program. A proposed response action plan (RAP) has been submitted to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) for approval. Chlorinated solvent compounds including tetrachloroethylene and trichloroethylene have been detected in the subsurface soil at the property resulting from historical industrial activities. The proposed RAP activities will include operation and maintenance of a soil vapor extraction system to remediate the contaminants, post-treatment monitoring, and implementation of engineering/institutional controls as necessary to mitigate potential exposures associated with any residual impacts. This RAP is based upon future use of the property for industrial purposes.
