Excitingly, this course has really earned the title of, “Preserve” as it boasts high-quality habitat for a wide variety of native animal and plant species. Most notably on this tour, we will focus on the diverse community of bird species, along with some signs of our favorite local ecosystem engineers…beavers! We will be joined by special guest and avid birder, Jack Turner, to see how many species of birds we can find during our tour, too!

Volunteers are an essential part of Irvine’s operations; your efforts support our mission to provide the community with valuable experiences in nature. Help support Irvine in our mission and make a positive impact on our environment. Join us for our Volunteer Community Day of Service on May 18th 1:00-3:00 PM. Volunteers will help by pulling invasive species and making room for native plants. This event is open to all ages, children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adult sized work gloves, plant ID cards, bug spray, sunscreen and water will be provided.
